rec me! + RL filter
I'm thinking about implementing a filter for RL-related purposes. I don't want to bore anyone with my shaky stuff, so speak up if you want to be on it! I'm also open to any and all kind of email correspondence - I'd rather talk there than via comments, for I'm private like that and like emailing better, because it gives me more space to talk. Not necessarily just about myself, mind you ;)

For those who don't know - I've been buried by my anxiety for the past two months. I won't bore you with the details, but it seems like fandom is getting the bad end of it. My muse is dead; she momentarily speaks up here or there, but it's seldom, and mostly my job just exhausts me so that nothing on the writerly end comes around.

I've begun reading fic here or there again, but I'm afraid I've missed a lot. It's sad being so disconnected from y'all, especially since I'm going to be in London and Kent in two weeks! So I ask you to rec me the good stuff that's been posted over the last two months! Rarepairs, Snupin, Snarry, fic, art, short, long - I don't care. Good characterisation and, if possible, some psychological depth would be great. Please? *puppy eyes* I need the distraction. Also, get my English back into shape ;)

Hello dear, I'll say put me on the filter, but I'm only over here at IJ every other week, so I might miss stuff. You've got my e-mail, though, haven't you? delashiny [at] gmx [dot] de, at any rate :D

Concerning fics, well, I haven't been reading much HP, either since everything not connected to Ancient Rome fails to keep my interest for long these days, but there was this absolutely stunning Teddy/Albus Severus fic on hp10k_showcase that I've rec'ed here. It is rather heavy to digest, though. I was staring at my screen for a good five minutes afterwards. But it definitely has "good characterization and some psychological depth" :)

I hope you enjoy your time off and have fun in England!
I had a fantastic time over there in the beginning of March. Pictures and a little commentary, if of interest, can be found here.

♥ !

You're reccing me Lee's Teddy/Albus Severus fic? Man, I don't know if I can touch it because I still have this weird aversion to TNG fic. Even though I love Lee's writing, I don't know if I can touch it still, heh. The summary and warnings read compelling enough for sure, but... still. Idk.

Time off is something I decidedly need. It'll have been 3.5 months of steadily working, and that is... evidently too much for me. I need relaxing so badly... And of course I have a, uh, Weiterbildung scheduled for the coming weekend, which is three goddamn days before I leave for London. How's that for timing, huh? *rants*

Eh, and of course I got you down for my filter. ♥

Slash and het, as long as it's not H/D? :D

I'd like to be in on the real life filter if it's okay with you.

I'll try and find some fics you might like to read.

Yes, put me on the RL filter if you don't mind, please. :)

Recs - I'd suggest to go and have a look at [info]snegurochka_lee's Springsmut recs. And read the Snape/Fleur she wrote for said fest. And her Teddy/Albus Severus. They are both fantastic. :)

Thanks for pointing me to the Snape/Fleur, it was magnificent! I've no idea if I can touch the Teddy/Albus Severus because it's TNG, even though I'm sure that once I read the first couple of line it'd draw me in. Lee does that to you ;) I'll wade my way through her recs as well.

Of course you can be on the filter. I must warn you though, expect heavy ranting/whining on it :)

OMG you have to read the Teddy/Albus Severus! If the Snape/Fleur is magnificent, this is ten times more! And between the two pairings, I definitely prefer Snape/Fleur myself. Definitely. But it's an incredible story, not because of the characters, but because it's so human and real and powerful. Even if you don't like the characters, just try it. Seriously, it's the best thing I've read in a while. :)

It certainly does look like everything you just said, but I need to jump over my shadow (do English-speaking people say that, too?), and that might take me a moment. Or fifty. You make a strong case for it, though, I've got to leave you that. We'll see. ;)

Heh, no idea about that phrase but I get what you mean. And am not trying to push you or anything, I just think you are going to love it despite the TNG thing. Anyway, if you do "jump over your shadow" I'm curious to know if you liked it. ;-)
