have recs: severus-centric
Why yes, there's a tremendous amount of reccable stuff out there.
First off, I got my
snupin_santa gift last night! It's totally all I wished for - I'm still dead and heart-broken.
[Fic] Letters Never Sent, Words Never Spoken (Remus/Severus) by Anon for
snupin_santa, rated G. Warns for (canon!) character death. Summary: The war has ended. Those who have died are buried and life is moving on. Given the task to deal with the estate of Severus Snape, Harry learns more about the people who affected the life of the Potions Master.
This is so painful - more Severus-centric than "truly" Snupin, I love how this deals with Severus being in love with Lily and Remus. Excellently written, it is touching and, in the end, so gut-wrenching it had me crying, because it's so beautiful in all that it's sad. Totally pushes all my buttons when it comes to the "layout" of the story, the execution in how the author deals with canon questions, and the angst factor.
[Fic] Angels and Ministers of Grace (Severus, Harry) by Anon for
hp_holidaygen, rated PG-13. No summary given.
This is genfic like genfic should be, for me (and pairingfic for that matter too >.>): a post-war scenario about a seasoned warrior who's given all for that war for whatever reason. We see a Severus who's almost destroyed, with nothing left for him. The atmosphere is dream-like and blank, and the author does such an incredible work with the language and characterisations, it's breath-taking. Just. Go, read, and be swept away.
[Fic] A Fine Romance This Is (Remus/Severus) by Anon for
merry_smutmas, rated NC-17. Warns for cross-dressing. Summary: Post-war Alternate Reality. It's been three months of (admittedly good) shagging, but Severus wants to know where he stands with Remus and takes drastic measures to find out.
This is an intelligent story about a relationship. The author uses the cross-dressing in a very original manner, and the resolution to the angst you've gone through will warm you thoroughly. Not what I usually rec and, indeed, thrive for, but this fic's warmth is a blanket that you'll need thoroughly after you've read the previously mentioned fics.
Hope you enjoy these, and remember that if you do to leave the authors feedback :)
