You know what's the fun kind of Valentine's Day?

Knowing that you've got a panic attack coming on to you. My breathing has been all shallow these past two hours, which generally is the beginning for me.

It's parents' night with the parents of my schoolkids, and I'm fucking terrified. I'm in charge with the schoolchildren, which is alright with me; what's not alright is being 19 years old and having to tell parents twice my age something about their kids. I'm afraid the parents won't take me serious. I don't know them yet and I think they're going to be a somewhat difficult crowd.

Wah. Hold me. *smokes chain*

Oh dear, that's indeed unpleasant. I'll be thinking of you while I write a test I haven't revised for, go to the eye specialist and, wait for it, visit my mum. Happy Valentine's Day, much? I'm sure you'll be fine :) *huggles*

You know what? We'll simply think of each other - all was well, after all, right? *g*

How did it go? My day wasn't so bad after all, the test was so ridiculously easy I'm still not sure whether I didn't screw up big time, my eyesight hasn't got any worse (yay!!) and I had a fairly pleasant and surprisingly long chat with my Mum.
Also, I realized the most random and fitting thing for Valentine's Day ... Do you know anything about Final Fantasy? I just know it from my friends' ramblings in England, but still, I had such a hilarious time today when I realized that my uncle's son, Vincent, has the same surname as my Mum's maiden name, which is ... Valentin! I've a cousin officially called Vincent Valentin. Isn't that just too random? XD
Hope your day turned out allright as well!

Vincent Valentin? Oh my, poor guy *g*

I'm happy to hear your day went alright after all. My night wasn't so bad either and I dropped dead as soon as I was home :)

Who scheduled Parent's Day on Valentines' day?
*hugs*
Good luck tonight, hope it goes alright.

Haha, I did because of date-finding difficulties *g* Besides, I - and a lot of my colleagues - don't care for this day.

It was alright, much better than expected, many parents spoke highly of the work we were doing, and I think they did appreciate my enthusiasm. Whee! *hugs back in relief*

Hang in there. You know what you're doing and you know what you're talking about. Remember that.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words *clings* - it turns out the kids have been talking about me in a rather positive way, so I think most of the parents were happy to finally get to know me. But it was a scary thing, to sit there and talk... :)
