WHY DOES LIFE HATE ME SO???

I JUST LOST THE FREAKIN' 82 TABS I HAD OPEN ON MY FIREFOX. Yes, I know, probably my own fault for not bookmarking properly, but GOD WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN??? I DON'T EVEN FUCKING KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!!!

25 tabs of Supernatural and CW RPS fics I've been meaning to read. 25 tabs of Harry Potter fics. Another 30 from on-going fests - those are probably easy to retrieve.

STILL. WAH. Fucking shit. *wallows in self-pity*

It wasn't Firefox that crashed (and my Firefox is used to A LOT from me), it was the laptop. I'm thinking it was too hot or something. The reason I couldn't recover my tabs as usual was probably that an ad had opened in another window, which completely screws Firefox over :(

But well, I'm over it - I never would have managed to read all those fics anyway, so... That's a way of self-regulation, I guess? :/

	The more tabs = the more processor power used for FF = heat. But it was probably good it crashed, seeing that 82 fics might be a bit much to go through in a day. :) (Reply to this) (Parent)

	What version of Firefox are you using? I believe 2.0 and thereafter have an automatic recovery feature, which I find super-useful if I end up crashing it with my insane number of tabs. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Yes yes, usually when it ends up crashing, the Recovery Tool makes it all good again. But it was the LAPTOP that crashed and at the time PROBABLY a new window with an ad had opened, which naturally screwed the Recovery Tool over as the window with all the tabs wasn't the latest that was closed, or however that works.

Good to know I'm not the only one with too many tabs open at once.

	...or does FIrefox have history? I use Opera and from there I could see which sites I last opened, aka with some digging I would get my lost tabs... :) BUT THAT'S HORRIBLE. (Also, how do you manage to read all those fics? O___O I go nuts if I have 5 open tabs with un-read fic because by then I'll know that I won't read them...) (Reply to this) (Thread)

	They're lost because most of them had been opened MONTHS ago. :/ I wouldn't have managed to read all those fics. I'm only really upset about all the Supernatural and CW RPS fics; there's no way of getting all those links back. HP doesn't quite count for me because all of the fic that's being produced daily.
