staying won't put these futures back together...
My least favourite part of the writing process from being bitten by a bunny until posting the final result?

The "post-beta edit", hands down, especially when I have to dissect a story and put it together again. Even more so when my beta points out the awkward things that I thought might be awkward, but didn't know how to resolve during the pre-beta edit - therefore hoping it wouldn't be visible to anyone else. >.>

My most favourite part?

Figuring out the timeline. I don't do it a lot, to be honest, but whenever I do it's such a seriously fun thing, I could do nothing else for hours. Okay, so it can be hell (like with Obey, which, upon looking over a similar timeline, I think is maybe not logical after all), but it's a fun hell! :o

I should remember this more often. *nods firmly*

See, I love the post-beta edit. Because it means I'm almost done. And I usually don't have any problems writing more or fixing what my beta has pointed out is messy. I also really like the idea/research stage.

The actual writing? That's the hard part. *sigh* Getting all those thoughts and ideas and facts out into words (coherent, well-put together words, at that) and onto pages. It is a gleeful moment when I send it out to beta, and even though getting it back means a few more days (or weeks) of work, I don't usually mind, because at that point, the end is nigh and I can feel it. *g*

I don't know why I hate the post-beta edit so much. I guess it's because in the glorious moment something is sent off, I get my head free for another plotbunny, and going back to an 'old' story a couple of days later is a little... well, violent, almost. And THEN sitting down and going over the fic, changing all the scenes that need changing... well, that isn't easy. If that makes any sense.

The idea/research/development stage definitely is awesome. I especially love it when the characters begin talking back at you and your brain is totally eaten by this story.

The writing... I totally agree. It can be a very slow, very frustrating process, but it's also very gratifying. I love this feeling of being in a story.
