Fandom is the perfect pick-me-up place as of late. I love you guys ♥

Germany's Next Topmodel finished today, and I do not understand the decision like, at all. Jenny? Seriously? I voted Christina would win when only three girls were left, and when Christina had to go, I voted Janina (who had been my favourite, though I saw her failings). Grrr. Sadly, I cannot even find pics and/or video clips of the girls to show off what I mean! Frustrating.

Work is boring. So boring that I don't even know what to do anymore; the "homework kids" aren't coming because it's too hot and school therefore finishes early without giving them homework. And that when I'm someone whose head needs to have something to do. I want to be mentally challenged. Someone give me topics to discuss! Today, just to do something, I talked to this one woman about my social dysfunctionality even though I didn't really want to, but sometimes stopping is kinda difficult. I don't even like that woman - she's freaking naive. I feel a definite vibe of antipathy.

Tomorrow I'm going to visit my friend with anorexia in hospital. She's been there for three weeks now; her body can function again (her heart beat had slowed down!), but she's nowhere close to getting out of this. She takes anti-depression meds so she actually, y'know, eat without totally losing it. I don't know how long it'll take until she's stable; she wants to get better, which is very very good, but it's gonna be one hell of a long way. At least two more months of therapy in hospital, and then long-term therapy when she's home, that's what I've been told so far. However, that plan can change any day. I'm worried, though less worried than I used to be. At least she's in professional hands now.

I should probably do something now, but I can't look at another application right now. I'm too tired to write, too awake to go to sleep, too unmotivated to read. Meh. I think the reason for my being this way is the fact that my friends (the few that I have left, anyway) don't have time for me :( I think I need some time out with them. Can't have everything, I suppose...

At least the ~~European Soccer Championships~~ 2008 UEFA European Football Championship will start in a couple days! GO GERMANY! *waves flag*

Also? Today I walked my feet bloody. What the hell.

And tomorrow is gonna be another day of heat. Temperatures surrounding 30°C for the past what, ten days? It's awesome, though it prevents me from sleeping, er, restfully. Which means my moods aren't exactly... stable. Heh. More cynicism from my side - as if the world needed that!

I should probably really go do something now. Reading it is after all, I suppose. *sigh*

	God do I ever hear you about having teh brainz turned off. What brain, I ask you? I think mine has melted. I know it's football for the Brits, but I tend toward American spelling etc., so soccer it is :P And pfff! How can one not care for football/soccer these days! Especially after '06! Eh, but you won the World Cup already! (Incidentally, I watched both the Germany-Italy game and the France-Italy game at an Italian restaurant. At least we got alcohol after both losses *g*)

In German we use "EM" as the abbreviation of European Championship in whatever type of sport, so I was wondering what the common abbreviation would be in English. Euro 2008 it is, then :D

In the interests of disclosure I must admit I am only Italian by marriage. I'm actually American.

Anytime they show say the Champion's League on TV it always is preceded by 'UEFA' but in Italian it says 'campionato europeo' and that seems to be for several sports (as I am googling I see the same name for skiing competitions and other things).

Italy is in the group of death it seems so we'll see if those drama queens can pull another rabbit out of the hat.

I thought Christina was going to win as well, but I didn't mind Jenny. In fact, I liked all three of them, and Jenny was fab yesterday, so I'm not complaining. The final was dragging on forever, though, and I damn near fell asleep >.>

So sad to hear about your friend, I truly hope the professional theory will help her get through this.

OMG Euro Cup!! Are you watching the games tomorrow (Czech Repbulic!) / on Sunday (GEEEEERMANYYYY!!!)? Where? Can I come? Poor me still hasn't got a TV :(( *bounces*

I still think Jenny can't walk at all! Her legs are just too long. And the leans backwards. But she did a great job at the photoshoot, and let's face it, she's young and probably has a great career in front of her.

Me too - J looked better yesterday. Let's hope! *crosses fingers*

I just got home in time to watch the Czechs shoot their goal, heh. I'm still not 100% sure what's up tomorrow, depends on whether I can reach Karo, though that doesn't seem likely... (dunno where my cell is, aaah!) I'd say you can come unless you've already made other plans, but I'd get back to you tonight to tell you whether it'd be okay?

Yeah, I give you that, she is worse at walking than the others. Janina was always best at that, but I do think that Jenny improved a great deal. At the beginning of the show, she couldn't walk properly to save her life, but now she does a fairly decent job, IMHO.

I discovered ZDF's doing a nice live stream and have been watching that one intently. I'm sooo happy the Czechs won, even though I'd wished the Swiss a draw, they were pretty good. Right now I'm more or less watching Portugal-Turkey, but it fails to keep me interested... watching football alone isn't that much fun after all.

	You can come tomorrow, if you want to catch Croatia-Austria we can do that here and relocate to the Kulte for the Germany-Poland match, or you come watch Germany-Poland and we watch that here or still at the Kulte or anywhere else or whatever! :D ALSO, I need a football icon. YAY!! Thanks a lot, you saved my day :D I need to get some uni work done, but I suppose I won't do anything after 5.00 pm anyways *laughs* I'll be aiming to be over at your place round about 5.45 pm, so we can watch Croatia-Austria (am curious about that one, see if Croatia's still a force to be reckoned with), and then we can decide where we're going to watch Germany-Poland, ok? Shall I bring along some beer? Any special wishes? *bounces*
